  • Head Coach of Palm Beach Masters (PBM).
  • Founded the North County Masters of Jupiter (NCMJ) in May, 2009.  Grew the program to over 170 USMS members by 2014, before expanding to Delray Beach in Oct 2014 and founding the Palm Beach Masters club.  In May 2016, we expanded to a 3rd location at the Lake Lytal Aquatic Center, West Palm Beach.
  • Palm Beach Masters annually has 500+ registered USMS members!
  • USMS (United States Masters Swimming) member, Recoginized & Certified Level 4 Coach.

Linda’s Swimming & Athletic Highlights

  • Swam competitively for 15 years in my younger days.
  • Held numerous Southern AAU age group swimming records, one of which still stands today since 1976 in Louisiana Swimming’s 11-12 yr.old Girls 500 free (5:07:68 ). 
  • Trained with Fort Lauderdale Swim Team & 1976 Olympic Coach Jack Nelson.
  • Trained with Longhorn Aquatics in Austin, TX under distinguished coaches, Paul Bergen & Eddie Reese.  Best time in 500 yd freestyle of 4:40.79 in 1980.
  • Competed in the finals of the 1980 Swimming Olympic Trials.  4th place in the 1500 free, 8th place in the 400 and 800 free, 2nd place in the 800 (4x200) free relay. 
  • Selected to compete with the Honorary 1980 U.S. Olympic Swim Team at the Hawaii Invitational with the democratic countries boycotting the 1980 Olympics. 1st place in 800 free, 2nd place in 400 & 1500 free and 800 free relay.  The event was the catalyst for creating what later became known as The Goodwill Games.
  • 3 time U.S. National Swim Team Member (1980 & 1981) competing in international competitions in Hawaii, Florida, France and Holland representing the United States.
  • Attended the University of Florida.  Trained with Coach Randy Reese.  NCAA Women’s Championship & SEC Championship finalist in 1982 & 1983.  4th place in 500 free & 800 free relay at 1982 NCAA National Championship.  Won NCAA Championship Team title (1982) and consecutive SEC team titles (1982, 1983).  3 time NCAA All-American and UF Letterman.
  • 1st Overall Woman in the inaugural (1987) Loggerhead Triathlon, Jupiter, FL.  Have participated in numerous other triathlon events.
  • Ran 2007 ING New York City Marathon (4:52).  Have participated in numerous other running events.
  • Enjoy participating in local open water races.
  • Got back into the pool in the 1990's and have achieved numerous Individual Top 10 & Relay Top 10 & All-American USMS times.

Linda’s Education & Work Highlights

  • Graduated UF in 1986 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial & Systems Engineering
  • Worked for FPL (Florida Power & Light Co.) for 20 years (1986-2006) in Power Systems, Customer Service management, and Quality Improvement.  Six Sigma Black Belt trained.
  • Previously the Administrative Director of JTAA (Jupiter Tequesta Athletic Association) overseeing the daily operations of a non-profit organization running the youth sports programs from 2006-2015.  Certified Youth Sports Administrator (CYSA)
